Time For a Cool Change

Tweet This Post
Besides celebrating Christmas and the New Year, December and January are my clean up and organize months.

Although not the most exciting tasks to do, once my list is completed it always feels as if a huge weight has been lifted off of me.

So today, I am also encouraging you to follow my lead.

Stop long enough to identify one project you've been postponing and put it on your calendar. Then when the appointed time comes, do it! It can be as simple as cleaning out a desk drawer (okay, that's still on my list...January is not over...and I'm planning to do by Sunday).

The act of taking small insignificant steps will make you feel better...promise!

Just pick one?
I've constantly a "to-do" list with my upcoming book releases, but as far as ignored projects, that would be my scrapbook. I've kept one for every year since becoming an author and during Christmas break I finished 2007. Guess 2008 need to be done this month then!

Keep us updated on that drawer...

Oh, no! Not me! If I can clean up one pile (let's see, right or left of my computer?), I'm doing well.

Best,

Okay, Carolyn...I'm going to make you tell me about a drawer or closet that needs your attention!!

And Diane, I will let you know how the draw cleaning goes. :) It's something I look at EVERY DAY, but this year is at the bottom of my list. The good news is that I've already taken care of all the projects I planned except the drawer and filing of some paperwork. The papers and files are neatly stacked on a guessroom bed. I'm determined to cross filing the paperwork off my list before a guest visits (which of course would make me do it)!

Off to clean out a drawer...(oh, not yet, but promise soon)!

I'm a organization freak...so you're preaching to the choir here. What I need to do is to learn to loosen up and let stuff go once in a while. A few piles wouldn't hurt me. :-)

Thank you for the reminder, I have some hot spots that have turned into full blown flames. I'll schedule my firefighting.

Life by the yard is hard; by the inch it's a sinch. Have a great day :)

Hi, Lois!

I love your comment. Well, put. I'm going to use this saying when talking to my daughter about keeping her room straight, etc.
